The Sauk County Agricultural Society, Inc. was formed from a stock organization into a 501(c)5 in 2008 due to IRS regulations. A new non-profit has been formed to support the fair. Friends of the Sauk County Fairgrounds is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was started in order to have an associated charitable group associated with the Sauk County Fairgrounds.
