Well folks, more good news for Saffire.  We’ve added our 14th event in the great state of Texas, so please join us as we welcome the Washington County Fair!

Cassie had the chance to travel to Brenham, TX, home of Blue Bell Ice Cream, to meet with the fair board and tell them about Saffire’s vision for the fair industry’s online presence.  They wanted to join the Saffire revolution, so we are ready to get started bringing them a brand new website!

Fairs Everywhere: Find a Fair No Matter Where!

Last fall, Saffire and IAFE announced our partnership to sponsor a new kind of event calendar to promote the fair industry.  Our goal for Fairs Everywhere is to be a one-stop-shop for fairs, vendors, sponsors, volunteers and patrons to find out the very latest information they’re searching for about events in an interactive format. I want … Continue reading “Fairs Everywhere: Find a Fair No Matter Where!”

I want to take a minute to encourage you to update your listing on our site, because customers are using this tool every single day!  In fact, sometimes people call our office to find out information about your events, and our first stop is your Fairs Everywhere listing!

So, what can you do to improve your listing?

    1. Add a great photo!  As your event approaches, if you have added a photo to your listing, we will feature you on the homepage.
    2. Keep your dates current.  Whether your 2012 event has passed or is right around the corner, making sure we have the most accurate information possible is the best way to give your potential customers information.
    3. Provide an accurate description of your event.  Nobody knows your event like you do, so don’t be afraid to brag a little!  Talk about the pieces of your event that make it unique.

If you have questions about your Fairs Everywhere listing, please just let our staff know.  We will help in any way possible.

Our partnership with the Chowchilla-Madera County Fair has been a long time coming!  We first met them at the IAFE Convention in Las Vegas.  We were so happy they joined us for our happy hour, and we really had a chance to get to know Dana and her husband, Peter, over cotton candy cocktails.

At WFA, we were excited to reconnect and tell them even more about what we had done to enhance the Saffire software since the last time we were together.  After several more meetings, we couldn’t be happier to officially welcome the Chowchilla-Madera County Fair to the Saffire community.

Since they current contract was just about to expire, we are working as fast as we can to get their website back up by March 1.  Can’t wait that long?  Okay, here is a sneak peek of what their website will look like.

Welcome Amador County Fair!

Last week we announced that Saffire was expanding east, but today we are excited to tell you that we are now coast-to-coast! The Amador County Fair in Plymouth, CA is the newest member of the Saffire community.  We first met Troy at the IAFE Convention in Las Vegas, but really had a chance to get … Continue reading “Welcome Amador County Fair!”

The Amador County Fair in Plymouth, CA is the newest member of the Saffire community.  We first met Troy at the IAFE Convention in Las Vegas, but really had a chance to get to know him at the WFA Convention when he attended our presentation on mobile marketing.  And the rest is history!

We’re getting ready to launch their website soon to give them plenty of time to take advantage of Saffire’s features and benefits before their event this summer from July 26-29.  Check back soon for more details on when you can see their new site for yourself.

Welcome Okeechobee County Fair!

Saffire has officially expanded beyond the Texas border…all the way to Florida!  Since the IAFE Convention in Las Vegas, we’ve been talking with Terry at the Okeechobee County Fair about becoming a Saffire client.  And we are pleased to announce that they have finally joined the Saffire community! Terry’s name may sound familiar, because he … Continue reading “Welcome Okeechobee County Fair!”

Terry’s name may sound familiar, because he was the lucky winner of our TV drawing at IAFE!  (I’d definitely say we  started out this partnership on the right foot, wouldn’t you?)

Since their event is sneaking up so fast on March 13-18, we’ll wait until after their event to get started on their new site.

Please join us in sending best wishes to Terry and his team for a successful event this year.  We can’t wait to get started!

We were happy to be invited to attend the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Convention in Baton Rouge, LA over the weekend.  And one thing is safe to say: Louisiana folks know how to party! We were happy to be invited to attend the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Convention in Baton Rouge, LA over the weekend.  And one thing is safe to say: Louisiana folks know how to party!

It was great to see a few old friends from IAFE and make lots of new connections in the industry.

Kendra presented on “The Latest and Greatest in Online Marketing.” We may have drawn the short straw, as our time slot was at the same time as the evening gown competition of the Queen of Queens Pageant. But I mean really, who can compete with all of this!

All jokes aside, we had a great conversation and hope that we provided some fresh, new insight to the industry. Thanks again to all of the attendees who took time out of their busy day to listen to our presentation.

And a big thank you to the LAFF for their hospitality. We were glad to be a part of the weekend’s festivities!

We’ve been talking with Keith for a while, but we finally shook hands and made it official at the TAF&E Convention a few weeks ago.  Since then, we’ve crossed all our t’s and dotted all our i’s, and now we are officially partners.

Their new website will be launching this spring in plenty of time for their event August 31 – September 2, 2012. Stay tuned for more updates.

PS. I got a sneak peek at their design this week, and we are taking their look and feel to a whole new level.  Can’t wait to show you soon!

Virgil and Angela are a pleasure to work with, and we’re excited for their launch…soon!

Now, we do need to brag on our friend Virgil for a minute.  He was name the TAF&E Professional of the Year at this year’s convention.  Here is a great article about Virgil from the Amarillo Globe-News.  Congratulations Virgil!
