Stay Organized with Trello

Are you having trouble staying organized? Is your wall calendar just not keeping up in the digital world? Here at Saffire, we’ve started using Trello to stay organized! Trello is a collaboration tool that organizes your projects into boards. In one glance, Trello tells you what’s being worked on, who’s working on what, and where something is in the process.

Trello uses “cards” which contain each of your tasks or ideas. In each card, you can add members, labels, checklists, any attachments and even a due date. Each card is filed under a list and can be easily moved from list to list. For example, you can have a “to do” list, “overdue” list and a “completed list” and easily move the cards to their appropriate list. Cards and lists are then housed under boards in order to stay organized and keep your projects separate. You can also add an unlimited number of members to a Trello board in order for multiple people to collaborate.

Trello boards can be extremely effective as both a meeting agenda and task tool. We use trello boards to list out our agenda in cards. Then, we take notes under each agenda item, assign a task to someone and put a due date on that action item.

Another great way to utilize Trello is to place your marketing editorial calendar into a board. You can switch to a calendar view and anyone on your team can see what posts, emails or content is scheduled to be published so your team can plan accordingly, whether that means graphic design or preparing copy for social media.

For our event planners, this can be an extremely powerful tool to help keep your event prep work organized. Tasks can easily be seen by your team such as when tickets go on sale or entertainment announcements are made. As we all know, plans can drastically change and Trello makes changes easy! Simply drag & drop a card onto a new date on the calendar and the due date will update automatically.

There are endless uses for this powerful tool! Let us know if you use Trello and how you use it!

The Saffire Team is happy to bring another Idaho client into the Saffire Family! We really enjoyed getting to know the North Idaho Fair team at RMAF and IAFE and we can’t wait to roll out a great new website!

The North Idaho Fair started from humble beginnings over 90 years ago to grow into the five-day, community-wide entertainment and educational event that it is today! The fair team remains committed to preserving the North Idaho Fair’s rich agrarian history, protecting its current facilities, and exploring new and exciting ways in which its current 83 acres can serve the educational and entertainment needs of a growing community.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome Jefferson County Fair Wisconsin!

We are welcoming our second Jefferson County Fair to the Saffire Family… this time in Wisconsin! We met the fair team at the Wisconsin Association of Fairs in January and immediately knew we were a fit.

The annual fair is held at the Jefferson County Fair Park every July. The Jefferson County Fair Park also hosts many events, from company picnics and annual conventions to specialty shows of all sizes. The venue also has 140,000 square feet of exhibition space and even camping!

Stay tuned for a beautiful new website!

Welcome City of Gonzales!

We are so thrilled to be partnering with such a historic Texas city to tell their story online.

Gonzales was the site of the first battle of the Texas Revolution on October 2, 1835.  The internationally recognized sign of freedom, the Come and Take It flag was born from that battle.  Today, Gonzales is still rich in history, but are much more.  The city is home to the Texas Junior High School State Rodeo Finals every May and have rodeos at our JB Wells Park Arena almost every weekend.  If rodeo is not to your liking take a look at their outstanding 9 hole Golf Course or see the Come and Take It cannon at our Memorial Museum.

Stay tuned as we work together to provide a beautiful website that nods at Gonzales’s unique and vibrant history.

Welcome Folsom Pro Rodeo!

Folsom Pro Rodeo

We are excited to welcome another rodeo client to the Saffire family! We have partnered with the Folsom Pro Rodeo to revamp their online marketing efforts before their July rodeo.

The Folsom Pro Rodeo has been entertaining the Sacramento region during the July 4th holiday for over 55 years. It’s one of the longest running annual events in California.

The event’s kick-off  with the traditional cattle drive down historic Sutter Street and then lead into many other events throughout the weekend. Rodeo events include roping, grand entry and riding, American Flag arriving by parachute, mutton busting, rodeo clowns, a silver-dollar dig for children, wild rodeo action with bulls, broncs and cowboys and a motocross act. A patriotic firework display will bring every evening to an end in the arena. After the fireworks, guests can keep the party going at 10 p.m. every night with live music in Mike’s Golden Spike Saloon in the area grounds.

Keep an eye out on our Dirt Newsletter for their new web design!
